funny how officials sound very confident on paper, then get a little selective once people can push back in real time.

Tulsi Gabbard is an Assadist. At the same time, the rest of this administration is dumber than rocks. This just feels like we are priming the conditions for a massive geopolitical disaster.

This is a simplistic view. They are struggling for cash and much of the infrastructure is under rubble. The problem is that they wanted to rebuild no matter the cost. They even threatened the US negotiators that they would rebuild and enrich even more. They said they had enough HEU for 11 bombs.

“Preemptive action” when black and brown people are killed without provocation but “terror attack” and “holocaust” when the victims are caucasian and the other side defends itself.
“Iran war is HIGHLY likely unless Trump swallows his pride & returns to the Iran nuclear agreement he tore up. But I fear he won’t put the interests of our country & those who’ll be killed in such a war ahead of his own pride & personal political interests.”

Rather reminiscent of the whole weapons of mass destruction debacle when Bush promised an end in weeks, but it turned into 8+ years of massive cost and instability. Also, like Iran, Iraq posed no legitimate immediate threat.

Iran was going to become a threat in the next 30 years! Good thing we have a genius as president so we could get easily influenced by Israel. Way to go Donald!!

WHAT
This is a truly differential level of administrative disorganization. Which I suppose makes sense as MAGA seeks to dismantle the administrative state.

She also said, that her job of assessing threats worldwide, didn’t include assessing **imminent** threats, those were to be declared by Trump.

This is the reality they would prefer and so they’re running with it. The only question is which side, if any, actually has any cards.

Which is completely different to what the administration was saying just a few days ago. Gabbard then went on to say that Trump is the only person who can determine what constitutes a threat to the US – you know, the guy who makes things up, changes his mind every five minutes and has stale pudding for a brain.
