Let's see how long this stays up lol

  1. The heat signature of that hit is not what I expected, given the reporting I’ve seen says the plane landed & pilot survived. Wild!

I’m going to ask a question that I am pretty sure I already know the answer to, but why has this video been removed several times here already

“A US F-35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at US air base in the Middle East after it was struck by what is believed to be Iranian fire, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesperson for US Central Command, said the fifth-generation stealth jet was “flying a combat mission over Iran” when it was forced to make an emergency landing. Hawkins said the aircraft landed safely and the incident is under investigation.

“The aircraft landed safely, and the pilot is in stable condition,” Hawkins added. “This incident is under investigation.””

  4. It was confirmed and it also returned to base intact. Which explains why the video cuts out immediately.

Likely not the same F-35 that got hit and was reported to have landed. This is quite an energetic hit, and there are noticeable debris, highly unlikely it was still controllable afterwards, and even questionable the pilot was alive.

Speculation, of course. If images of the damaged F-35 are released, and this is the same one, the damage ought to be on the bottom front of the fuselage, judged from incoming missile vector and location of detonation.

CENTCOM confirmed a F35 made an emergency landing today and that the pilot is fine, most likely this.

Not sure why a F35 is flying at an altitude this low anyways, no real surprise it was hit. Even if it was a radar guided missile, stealth only serves to reduces the range from where you can get a weapons grade lock. Regardless of what type of system was used to hit it, it is curious how no evasive was taken though, you’d think their MAWS would alert the pilot

So let me get this straight. We are four weeks in and Iran still has effective control of the strait of Hormuz, ballistic missiles, drones, and air defenses? Seems their capabilities were underestimated. Especially when our elected leaders are walking around saying we’ve already won.

Ah I see why my video was removed, I forgot to cover it with watermarks

No shade thanks for posting lol

  9. Is it common for a heat signature to be perfectly uniform like that, down to the exhaust?

If this is the plane that landed after being damaged, that is a testament to this thing’s durability.

  11. I’m still not 100% on if this is real or not. But if it is (and there’s news unfolding that an F-35 was hit by enemy fire and made an emergency landing… so I’m inclined to think it’s legit.)

    3 things come to mind:

    1. Holy shit

    2. The F-35 is one HELL of an airframe if that thing managed to land. When they designated the F-35 as the A-10 replacement, I was skeptical. Talking with a pilot who went from A-10 to the F-35 changed my mind though, he loved it and told me it was just objectively superior. In basically every way.

    3. The age of armed, manned aircraft is over in just over 100 years, there’s no hiding from whatever this weapon is.

Assuming this video is real, this will show that Iran still has some level of air defense almost 3 weeks into the war.

  13. NordicHorde2 on

Looks suspect to me. Likely faked after Iran heard the news of an F35 making an emergency landing.

  14. WhyChemistry on

If this footage is real and related to the f35 that got hit today then then the myth about stealth being invisible is lie or the US is way too overconfident flying in Iran.
