Tangentially to this, I would have thought AI would be a good tool to “unshred” these documents. So, somehow scan the shreds and have AI fit all the pieces back together in a way that is readable.

Its not surprising. Nothing they can do or say at this point is surprising. They got away with all of it. All the rich powerful assholes that did these horrible things, and all the people that helped have gotten away with all of it.
