  1. Hah. JD is one of the biggest cucks in the history of cuck bitches. No way is he going to defy daddy T.

He won’t act until after Jan 21, 2027 so he can still run for two terms. Any earlier and he’d be limited to one additional term as President (not that I think he could ever be elected)

  3. WrongVerb4Real on

Can’t any 25A move be counteracted by Trump writing a letter to congress saying, “I’m good now”?

  4. Al_Tilly_the_Bum on

Vance will do this on January 22nd 2027. That way he will be able to run two more times.

So some journalist called for it, so what? Unless it’s his top five donors it’s never going to happen.

  6. So someone with no position in the government or any influence whatsoever ‘urges’ the Veep to do something that he will utterly never do? And Newsweek writes it up?

While were at it, ‘Jeff Bezos Urged to give One Billion Dollars to Me.” Have at it Newsweek. . .

I’d rather have Trump backed by the dipshit world of MAGA in charge than Vance backed by Thiel and his cadre of technofacists. MAGA is too incompetent to actually govern. With the Thielboys, their failure isn’t inevitable.

  8. Lol, invoking the 25th? That’s a bold move! 🤔 But honestly, it just feels like another circus act at this point. Like, will anything actually change?

  9. No doubt he wants to wait until Jan 21 so he is still eligible for two full terms after this one.

  10. Lol. JD “Trump is America’s Hitler” Vance? I’m pretty sure he’s too dug in with who he’s always known to be a demagogue.

“Newsweek’s reporters and editors used Martyn, our AI assistant, to help produce this story.”

Any chance mods are willing to ban these types of articles?

  12. He’d lose MAGA forever. He’s counting on them for 2028. Joke is on him as MAGA doesn’t show up to vote with no Trump.

  13. Hey may consider it because it’s the only chance he has of becoming president, and that’s the only thing he cares about.

  14. People everywhere have been calling for the 25th amendment for over a year, now, ever since it became abundantly clear that Trump has advanced dementia alongside his pre-existing malignant narcissism. He needs to be removed because he is, quite simply, no longer fit to serve (if he ever was).

They’ll have to bring the MAGA base further along before he risks this kind of betrayal. They would crucify him if he did it today.

  16. If Vance wants to be president, why doesn’t he just do it? Thiel would support him.

  17. HowardBunnyColvin on

What yinz don’t understand is if the 25th amendment goes though Vance becomes president. And Trump is bad, but Vance? The child of PE? Thiel’s boy toy?

You don’t want him anywhere near the oval office

    I guess I’ll post this again……

People don’t understand the 25th amendment and think it’s a cure all to our problems.

All Trump would have to do even if the 25th is invoked is to write a letter to the President pro tempore and the Speaker and say that he is fine. He would be president again. And it would be up to Congress with a 2/3rds vote in BOTH chambers to remove the president.

It’s actually harder to remove by the 25th than it is regular impeachment and removal since impeachment is a simple majority in the House.

The regular impeachment and removal process is what needs to happen

  19. AlsoCommiePuddin on

It doesn’t work. Trump submits the letter to Congress which holds the same standard as an impeachment hearing to keep the President out of office.

    It’s not a backdoor tool for a coup d’état.

This is a man that wore shoes two sizes too big for him because he was afraid to speak up to daddy. There is no way in hell he is going to do anything that would cause the orangeone to tweet bad things abut him.

  21. > “My advice to Vance: announce your support of [a] 25th amendment transition,” McConnell wrote on X on Sunday. “Say [Senator] Chris Murphy or similar will be veep. **Announce you will NOT be a candidate in 2028.** Use your position, access to the media to explain why this is necessary. Don’t resign,” he added.

Emphasis mine. Well, that’s a non starter. Vance isn’t here for duty to party or country, he’s here to accrue as much power as possible and then reshape the world into a Thiel-approved hell scape. 2028 prospects be damned, he’s not gonna just give that up to stop a war.

  22. Trump is recreating his first presidency like a tv format

this time he is the global pandemic

it would be funny if it wasn t true

It’s the only chance he has at being POTUS, that’s for sure. He’d continue the tariff mess. Probably get us out of Iran. And the same on ICE and undocumented labor. Just as big a dick to our allies and NATO. Maybe he’d settle things up with Mexico and Canada. He’d continue the effort to take Cuba and Greenland.
