U.S. will not be controlling the Strait of Hormuz but instead will end up losing all of the influence in the Middle East if the war escalates. The entire region will go under, and the victors will be Russia and China as they step in to be the saviors.
In the interim if the war escalates, we will see major depression throughout the world, one for the record. Trump is looking for a respectable off ramp, but it is elusive in the deserts where someone can fight back.
