  2. I don’t think they need Andy Meddick (since gone) or Georgie Purcell from the AJP any more to pass stuff in the upper house.

    So this can join the duck hunting ban that the Unions opposed.

    The first examples brought up in that Guardian article related to neglect/abuse of pets.

    Are there not sufficient laws to deal with that already?

    I get the feeling that the impact of these proposed laws on agriculture might be the issue here.
