And, what about HIS mail-in-ballot in Florida?!? I really can’t take any more of this B/S!

    Snippet:

    >The Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Monday in a case that exists only because Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, threw a temper tantrum, attempted a coup d’état, failed at that, and has spent the last six years claiming he won the election he clearly lost. The case is called Watson v. Republican National Committee, and it involves a Mississippi law that allows mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted as long as they are received by the state board of elections within five days of the election.

The supreme court is a corrupt organization. The majority on that court have been compromised by Republican donors, they’re traitors to the United States of America

  3. So, if Trump whines about it, then the Supreme Court will make a legal ruling to keep the cry baby happy. Our justice system sucks!

  4. He is just biggest disaster for this country ever I’m disabled mail in ballots worked great for me

  5. Apparently there will also be armed and masked ICE agents surrounding the polling places on Election Day. Sad.

  6. Usually, all military voted sit in a locked bag until all the other votes have been counted and it is close enough that they could make a difference. So this would invalidate all active duty military that tries to vote while they are deployed fighting our illegal wars. Cool cool cool

  7. Apathetic_Zealot on

Trump voted by mail. By what what right can mail in ballots be unconstitutional?

  8. Hauntinghotti on

The court is basically being asked to choose between clear state laws and vibes, and lately, the vibes have been winning. It’s hard to feel confident in the process when the goalposts keep moving right before an election.

  9. In California, we have early voting and drop boxes in addition to mail-in voting. If that’s true in other states as well, people in population centers (cities) may have an advantage in ease-of-voting over rural locations, ESPECIALLY if the mail is unreliable.

Even if the corrupt clown court does rule that votes postmarked on time which arrive late can be tossed, it might end up hurting Republicans more than Democrats.

States should just ignore it, throw late received ballots in with the rest of them so they cant be separated.

He’s a lame duck why do they care what the orange blob thinks?

They are already on the court. How good would it feel to tell your awful boss pound sand?

    this cult is stupid.

So I am wondering how they are going to have the military vote.

Or are they going to say the military shouldn’t vote?

  13. The justices don’t have to worry about job security, so I don’t understand why they are so afraid of Trump… unless it’s not their jobs they are worried about??

  14. They have to help them win. The next Dem in power will be required to prosecute SCOTUS for treason.

  15. kungfoojesus on

Is he trying to get of it altogether? Or is he trying to get a ruling that only votes that arrive by Election Day and are counted that day count? Paywall. It just feels like a continuation of the great lie and it happened to get all the way to the Supreme Court. Kinda suspect they will put some limits on mail in voting but not sure how the could wrap themselves up and ban it altogether.

No matter what, Trump will declare victory or continue lying about the steal and his basket of deplorables will come along.

The other major problem is that he has a postmaster that hates the post office and would love to strip workers leading up to the election thus resulting in delays of mail ins even if they’re still allowed such that they would fall outside of the timeframe

Also, there was recently a case where a postal worker straight up would t deliver mail to someone or some group they didn’t like. They were sued and the worker won. Meaning that if a worker feels like it, they can just not deliver mailings to areas or not deliver to the post office ballots from certain places they don’t want to. And no recourse is available.

The stage is set for mailins for Trump.

Vote. Early. And in person if at all possible and get a paper copy if possible

  16. OriginalCultureOfOne on

Seriously? Trump, his wife, and his youngest son all voted by mail-in ballot this month. Why is it OK for a convicted felon to vote by mail, but not your average American?

The Heritage Foundation are mostly Catholics, the Supreme Court are mostly Catholics. Anyone who truly believes in original sin should never be allowed to hold office, much less a judgeship.

  18. Oh yes, Thomas knows better than the people who wrote the laws and those who lived under them for the past 150 years. It’s preposterous and should be laughed out of any legitimate court. This is ahistorical and an example of legislating from the bench. Originalism is political ideology disguised as legal theory!

I’m not a legal scholar but I would think the President voting by mail-in ballot just this week should be a helluva argument for its defense

All the pieces for Republican retaining control of Congress in 2026 and Donald Trump’s third term in 2028 is slowly coming together.

  21. I found it. I took a picture of some of the information and I’m trying to load it onto Reddit.

  22. > ‘President’ Pedo Piggy PoopyPants has been throwing a tantrum

Definitely a legitimate priority in constitutional jurisprudence.

  23. Raise_A_Thoth on

I’m curious how the “younger” conservatives on the bench view the midterm liability.

If Dems get a majority in the Senate there’s going to be *some* calls for court reform, and the more the fucking shit on normal establish precedent and popular laws the more they endanger their own relevance in the long run.

We are NOT going to get court reform for at least 2 more cycles, if I were to wager, but it’s something that any serious progressive and even milquetoast libs should be serious about in the coming years.

Dems have to take the challenge of constitutuinal crises seriously if they want to hold power after these midterms.

  24. MaherDemocrat1967 on

Then that should be the day for the general strike. Anyone and everyone forced to work should refuse and go vote.

  25. Trump mailed in his ballot for the Florida elections.

He’s also in the Epstein files more than Epstein.

  26. Illustrious-Fun8324 on

Oh good, give him whatever he wants because he throws tantrums. Nothing bad can happen at all. /s

This is why we are where we are.

  27. Then they need to be fired. They are there to uphold the law, not cave to any president.

  28. Try looking under podcast, legal AF the attorneys, brilliant, and these guys are honest

  29. And ICE agents will be standing around polling stations, staring down blue voters, like the “tough guys” they are.

  30. masteward1964 on

This suck for way too many people. Just another attempt of republicans to control elections. Truth be told they are the ones cheating elections but make it look like democrats. Next truth TRUMP LIES.

  31. States need to refuse / ignore any of this nonsense.

We know it will intentionally come down right ahead of the midterms to maximize the chaos

  32. I’ve been too ignorant, trying to post the articles from my phone to Reddit. I’ve had a stroke. I apologize that’s why the confusion about posting to Reddit.
