The military takes “misuse of government property” very seriously. Those helicopters cost thousands of dollars per hour to operate. Taxpayers aren’t paying for your personal celebrity sightseeing tour. If they were low enough to be “harassing,” it’s a safety issue, full stop.

so many conservatives were defending that as “necessary flight time” lol

Assumed they had the green light, and after reading the articles written about it, I still assume they had the green light from *someone* higher up, and now they’re doing their level best to minimize the political fallout because, yes, this is and was a little ridiculous and embarrassing for everyone, all things considered.

    “Hey Dave, how’s work going?”

    “Ah, I got suspended.”

    “For what?”

    “Well…you remember that Bawitaba song?”

Good thing the hillbillies only have a few Nazi heroes to stalk, otherwise they’d have wasted even more taxpayer dollars. It can’t cost much to fly over Minaj and Rock’s houses, and Ted Nugent’s double wide trailer.

  6. Okay but who ordered the flight ? This isn’t just a rogue pilot. This route was planned. This flight mission went thru a G3 Air shop and was eventually appproved by the plans and operations section.

“Suspends” here means “keep a low profile son, this will all blow over in a bit and you be back to flying”

They tried to deny it, then try to make it appear as some coincident or small mistake, not sure of the whole video part was planned to that extent making it fairly undeniable that this whole fucking thing was planned in advance….

I like that this is how I find out I live less than five miles from Kid Rock. Going to tell my kids to TP that house forever.

In the Army, the low man involved in any scandal is the only one assured of punishment.

  10. Not good enough. Those pilots should be forced to pay back the amount of tax dollars it took to perform their little stunt.

Maybe they should have run a sex trafficking ring instead bc apparently there are zero consequences for that now.

  12. Dollars to donuts The Donald gets involved, all is forgiven and Kid Rock does a shitty free concert for the troops, which is actually just a thinly veiled MAGA rally.

  13. lol, someone up the chain is guaranteed to override this but it won’t be reported in the news. These pilots were doing something they had permission to do. There’s probably a ‘do something nice for Kid Rock’ standing order at some level.

I like the part where they said it was coincidental that they flew directly over the protests, not once, but twice. 🤔

  15. Not only that but I’m almost certain even the military has minimum distance requirements. As in how close you can fly to houses, trees, etc. in certain ac.

  16. The fact that this had to be made an order says everything wrong with our current military. Army brat here, before you come at me with any un-patriotic bullshit sentiment

A clear cut Fraud, Waste and Abuse case of taxpayer funds to fly a mission critical U.S. Blackhawk helicopter near the home of Kid Rock. The Commander of this Aviation Unit and all subordinates involved should be disciplined.
