I can’t believe this muppet is still leader. He is seriously out of touch and will hand the Liberals a majority for as long as he’s in charge. Is he seriously the best the cons can do?

Oil pipeline: we don’t care that BC/Quebec/First Nations are against them. Bulldoze their opposition and get it done no matter the cost or the risk. Who cares about the environment?
High speed rail (that every other G7 country has): we can’t do that, what about the wetlands farmland and the NIMBY’s?

Incoming floor crossing from an MP along the route. Conservatives are really trying to speed run a liberal majority

I agree with Poilievre because:
1. $90B is a massive price tag
2. This route is already covered by Via Rail
3. The new train would still take 3 hours to get from Toronto to Montreal versus the current 5 hours. $90B to shave off a couple of hours is a lot. If this was a true very high speed train that hit 300mph like the ones in Asia and turned it into a 1 hour trip I would be a lot more interested.
4. The possibility of cost overruns is very real. Look at what happened with the California high speed rail boondoggle

Someone tell him the high speed train is made of oil, he will backpedal so fast

PP hates the idea, because it wasn’t his.

Maybe he’d like it better if it had a coal burning locomotive.

Insane policy from the cons. That cements my vote against them next time around.

Tell him the train goes faster because we cover it in oil. He’ll go for it then

Eglinton LRT cost 13 billion dollars to build original cost was 5 billion dollars so the estimate of this rail project will be far higher than “estimate” ! That’s how government works!

Why are we all of a sudden in a world where the opposition leader who is likely not going to be. Thinks he’s going to get elected with a looming majority government. Maybe he should focus on working with the liberals instead of the next election. Which is likely 3 years away

No need to waste your breath … most know he won’t be PM any time soon..
