Unfortunately they will still come out on top in terms of the funding. Which is what made this entire situation bs. They will pass a bill without funding the two entities.
Then they will rely on the reconciliation bill to pass funding for the two, which made the whole screwing over workers completely unnecessary. We could have had this done a long time ago. We could have trump use EO (granted illegally) to get them funded this whole time. But no, it is all political bs. These people disgust me.

It’s *kind* of a win, but it looks like they’re going to use reconciliation to do ICE/CBP funding which only takes a simple majority.
Still, it’s nice to have even a brief optical win for a moment

there was nothing “jaw-dropping” or “shocking” about what little Mikey approved. Both GOP and Democrats in Senate wanted something positive done, but dick-tator and his little squire are trying to force “Save Act” to steal the 2028 elections. it is on the table in front of all of us.

The optics of a failed political philosophy, in this case the Republican trampling of the Constitution, is in some cases all that matters. In the simple world of Truck Stop, Dive Bar and Boardroom politics it is everything that matters. As the article above points out, this it’s a quite simply a win… for all Americans.
This win or loss for politicians is the same primal state of fear they live with every day, a system they created which allows the future of their jobs to rest on how they voted for a single bill. Their jobs rely on their party supporting them, which means they have to support their party for good or bad. This explains completely the dismal state of American politics.
What they all seems to forget is their vote is also the driving force behind whether everyday Americans can afford food, drive cars, and not be arrested for looking to brown.
We are a two-party system, for better or worst operating under the umbrella of a Democracy of 50 States united together by a document of Constitutional Law, which each State agreed to follow, to insure all people in each state are treated equally.
We now find ourselves in chaos, a state of confusion created by petty men who want to change the Constitution in order to benefit the small wealthy minority in our country, whether it hurts the vast majority of Americans no matter which party you belong too. Our current government ruled by Trump is wounding all Americans daily. They do this by taking money from wealthy Americans who consider themselves our ruling class. Who are no more than average Americans with a lot of money, who have elevated themselves to become members of a ruling class, by the simple rule of allowing themselves to be bribed. We now live in a country not ruled by a Congress that answers to the people who voted for them, but by a Cartal, led by an vindictive Warlord who controls the purse strings of America, named Trump.
As Voters we must Overthrow and Fire this Warlord, as he has taken the control of our government out of the hands of the people, by lies, intimidation and fear, and further crashed the independent Political party system in our Country, by turning the Grand Old Party, a comedic pseudo-Christian far right movement, he renamed MAGA, which supports fascist rules of law, as a way of enriching himself and those around him, in ways that is destroying our Sacred Democracy. We must instead bring our government back into the hands of the Voters themselves.
