Ok, so actually reading the article, I think the headline is doing a severe disservice to a point that frustrates a lot of people.
The actual article itself isn’t complaining that Democrats aren’t stopping the war, but complaining about *the way* democrats are talking about the conflict.
Democrats don’t talk about this being an illegal war. They don’t talk about the immorality of attacking a nation for no reason and “accidentally” murdering children.
Instead they complain that Republicans didn’t follow “procedure”. They complain that Trump hasn’t provided “specific war goals”. And they say that “Trump can’t win without boots on the ground” as if this is all just a game of Risk.
They don’t say – There was no reason for the US to attack Iran, thousands are now dead, neighbouring nations are suffering, and people across the globe will suffer because of oil and fertiliser shortages.
No, instead they point out that fuel prices going up and smugly say that it’s going to be bad for Republicans in the midterms.
Most Democratic politicians give no indication that they actually give a shit about the wanton murder being commited in the middle east, and don’t give a shit about all the death and suffering this war has, will, and could cause. Instead they mostly seem chafed that Republicans didn’t follow procedure, and smug that this will help them in the midterms.
That’s what this article is about.
