Okay what is happening? Noem, Bondi, maybe Patel (?) and now the Army chief of staff. This is beginning to feel coordinated.

  2. After Bondi, Hegseth has to know his time is limited. Iran not being finished as quickly as Venezuela, which I am sure is what Trump expected, is going to see his head on a platter soon enough. He’s either trying to direct attention to his own set of scapegoats, or he’s acting on personal grievances before time runs out.

Refused to partake in war crimes? Or said that the POTUS might not be Jesus resurrected?

We’ve done this once already before Venezuela happened. MAGA doesn’t like to be told *no*. They’re not interested in facts or good logic, either. Assume the worst and you’re probably close to the why of this story.

“MIAMI, Dec 12 (Reuters) – The admiral in charge of U.S. military forces in Latin America retired two years early on Friday, amid rising tensions with Venezuela that include Wednesday’s [seizure of an oil tanker](https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/trump-administration-seizes-oil-tanker-off-venezuela-coast-us-officials-say-2025-12-10/) and [more than 20 deadly strikes](https://www.reuters.com/world/us/pentagon-says-it-struck-another-suspected-drug-boat-pacific-killing-three-2025-11-16/) on suspected drug-smuggling boats.

Three U.S. officials and two people familiar with the matter told Reuters that Admiral Alvin Holsey was pushed out by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Two officials said Hegseth had grown frustrated with Southern Command as he sought to flex U.S. military operations and planning in the region.”

  5. Probably because the Army Chief said that a ground invasion of Iran was a suicide mission that he wanted no part of, and Whiskey Pete didn’t like that.

Gotta wonder how it feels for a decorated general to get fired by a drunken Fox news anchor

  7. Efficient_Resist_287 on

A Fox News host just fired a career military officer…

America your voting choice was truly impeccable.

PS: GOP Congress…well huh I dunno

  8. PlatformVarious8941 on

Always a sign that a war is going well when you demand a top general’s resignation.

It’s sickening to watch good and honorable men who have dedicated their lives to defending this country have their legacies destroyed by a POS bottom feeder like Hegseth. I can’t imagine setting this shameful example why anyone would join the military.

  10. He wouldn’t lead the ground invasion of Iran, so Hegseth fired him to get a goon that will

  11. I bet this guy was pissed that Hegseth overrode the punishment of the 2 pilots who visited Kid Rock’s house. The Army takes rules and punishments very seriously. Seems like Pete probably gave the order for the pilots to deviate from their official flight path and Pete doesn’t want to take any heat for breaking protocol and being a partisan dumbass interfering with Army business.

It’s because he wouldn’t sacrifice two battalions of paratroopers.

Reinstates people who fly Kid Rock home.

    Fires four star generals.

    Pistol Pete, folks.

Trump wants to drop the big one and he needs the right yes men in place to do it.

An Easter weekend invasion would make those christo-fascists who want the end times blow their load.

American soldiers are about to be massacred by FPV drones if they launch ground operations

  17. You have to know that you will be thrown under the bus as soon as the doomed mission fails…

I wouldn’t step down though. You would have to fire me.

  18. johnyFrogBalls on

As absolutely bonkers as this sounds, my money in on the Kid Rock thing. Here’s why, Service Chiefs of Staff do not lead Combat formations or make command decisions in the context of military operations. They lead their respective institutions. As such General George doesn’t have a whole lot of say on what’s happening in Iran. Where does he have a say? In the SecDef stepping in and undermining good order and discipline by reinstating the Army pilots. My guess is that he had some very strong opinions about that. We truly live in the stupidest of timelines.

  19. Putin is inside the wire. Iran fiasco is his fantasy come true. Every day it gets better for that bastard.

  20. Could be as dumb as a clash about that Kid Rock fly by. Imagine writing that sentence 15 years ago.

  21. AdComprehensive7952 on

Probably the guy who wanted to investigate the Army pilots who flew to Skid Rock’s pool. Considering the first story we heard was about the investigation, then “Nope, investigation closed. They’re getting a medal instead”, then this firing. All within 3 days. The connect-the-dots schemes with this regime are 3rd grade level, at best.

  22. Queasy_Eggplant9155 on

Let me guess…he was too competent, exhibited integrity, and was “woke”!

  23. wolf_at_the_door1 on

I’m sure he might object to sending men into their deaths. Just a guess. Pete fired him because he’s refusing to give the order? Idk. Land invasion will mean a lot of caskets coming home. We haven’t seen the worst of drone warfare. I don’t want to see it.
