For the Texas House election, if Democrats perform +15 over 2024, I still have them coming up short at 77 R / 73 D. Or maybe 76 R / 74 D if HD 108 flips (R margin was slightly more than 15 pts in 2024).
But depending on turnout, the margin could be more. Or the margin change could be distributed very unevenly across districts, affecting results in ways that are difficult to forecast.

Texas Republicans will abandon democracy before they relinquish power. I whole heartedly believe they’ve captured the voting system down there. If voters actually turned out in enough numbers to overcome whatever algorithm they use to alter votes, they’ll just close precincts, stop the vote, claim fraud and cancel the election.
