They’re so afraid of such a small thing, because they know full well it would just confirm what everyone already knows.
That “centrism” isn’t the answer, and it’s what cost them the election. Then they’d be forced to stop pretending they haven’t already done this before.

Of course we all want transparency, will we get it? Absolutely the fu*k not. We all KNOW he cheated with his butt boy musky. Majority of Americans with an actual brain agree that some funny shit went down in 2024. If you don’t, then you are maga 🥱

They don’t want to release it because
1) it will put the blame on the people still running the party for making the call to push Kamala, who they knew was not the most popular candidate, solely because she was the only person who would have unfettered legal access to the money Biden raised
2) It will piss off a bunch of young coastal liberals who are convinced that she was too “centrist” and want to blame her loss on that. Because if you actually look at battleground states, nobody is clamoring for the same things they want in New York or California.
Kamala lost because she was a black woman from a liberal enclave.
And, despite talking shit about how backwards and racist most battleground states are, there are a fuckton of DNC voters who don’t want to hear that running someone like AOC, another female POC from a liberal enclave, is a losing strategy.

Ken Martin pledged to do this autopsy, and now that it’s done, he suddenly thinks releasing it would be a distraction. Funny how that works when the findings might point fingers at leadership.

Latino and young white vote was key. Trump accidentally stumbled into a good strategy by doubling down on non-legacy media and podcasts. ironically, the immigration issue worked for him with Latinos.

The elephant in the room is that Democrats have stopped listening to the people and putting their buddies, who spent years “doing their time” or making handshake deals to get where they were. Clinton treated the 2016 campaign season like a coronation and openly sneered at half the country. Trump was easily able to position himself as “the outsider”, “the breath of fresh air politics needed” and “a way to give the middle finger to the career politicians who are out of touch”. He keyed into electoral heavy states and it worked.
When he fucked up so hard Biden of all people was able to win, that should have been the end of it. Then Biden had the hubris to drop out 110 days before the election. Why no one in his inner circle thought to make him stick to his “transition president” statement I don’t know. I will not trust or primary vote anyone who was in his cabinet. No one was going to win 107 days before election, Harris had no chance. The people would have primaried a better candidate. Don’t ask me who. Obama wasn’t well known when he started running in 2007. I can only imagine how many Democrats seethed behind the scenes when their pal Hillary Clinton lost the primary to this young upstart. Thank God he did, he won two elections easily. Establshment democrats must have decided “never again, the only people allowed to run are the ones we decide have earned their place”.

There’s very little political benefit to making it public. You’re going to piss off and alienate one section of your base no matter what. Better to take the results and quietly work on fixes to win next time while letting Trump and republicans own their garbage.

I would love to see the report. My personal face palm moments may have had no impact, but here they are:
Bragging about Dick Cheney’s endorsement during a debate was a bigger jaw drop than Biden’s performance. By the end of the campaign, you’d think Liz was her VP. Even in the 2016 primaries, the Republicans all pretended they’d never heard of the Bush administration.
Saying she’d do nothing different from Biden was a ridiculous moment of self sabotage.
Avoiding Dearborn yet sending Bill fucking Clinton to talk about how Palestinians had it coming was just bizarre. Trump is a lying piece of shit, but even he had the good sense to personally go to local businesses, shake hands, and promise to end the violence.
“Your husband won’t know who you voted for” as a major ad campaign. There’s so much to unpack there.
I remember saying, “All she has to do is not put her foot in her mouth for a few months.” If she just focused on promising to improve people’s lives, she would’ve won.
