  1. Without reading the article I know the answer is that until now there wasn’t actually enough sleaze in Washington to be worth their time. Now there is.

  2. Because historically if a sitting President said “Quiet Piggy” to a journalist it would be front page news in bold text but today’s major newspapers are owned by MAGA so TMZ is now filling the void.

The name “TMZ” refers to a 30-mile-radius circle more than 2000 miles from DC, so

Crazy the media is asking “What took so long for tmz?” The same question is “Why aren’t you as media doing what TMZ is doing?

    >Funny is how we got here. Making fun of Donald Trump did not work.

SNL didn’t expose Trump’s absurdity. They made it watchable.

I wonder if it’s because influencer drama has been slowly taking over standard celebrity drama which is eating into their bottom line since influencers create and profit off the drama themselves rather than shy away from it so they’re branching out.

What a poorly written headline. Washington State? No? DC I guess? Just say “D.C.”!

That’s not to mention how incomprehensible the rest is. “TMZ is flexing…”? It’s a gossip rag. wtf does that even mean? “High profile results?” K. That still tells me nothing.

“What took so long?” For the celebrity gossip org to start focusing on politics? Idk man it’s not part of their original wheelhouse but I guess it’s good they’re investigating more substantive things instead of just which famous people are having a mental health crisis.

Idk. Maybe the article is actually good but why would anyone click on this slop?

  8. They realized there’s lots of views in it. I think they mean well, but it was a def a financial business strategy.

TMZ is owned by Fox and therefore the Murdochs. Assume Rupert and Co have finally had enough of Trump, or he’s burned them in some way

  10. Someone finally realized that the DC press corps’ gentleman’s agreement to never ever report on things like “Congressman McDementia has been fully comatose for three years” left a wide open lane.

  11. The Onion is taking over InfoWars and I’m actively rooting for TMZ.

It’s a weird, wonderful month for media.

I’m pretty cynical. TMZ is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Every one of his media properties are right wing propaganda machines.

I assume this is a dirt gathering operation. To get compromat on various GOP ghouls so he has more leverage over the party.

Murdoch dislikes Trump because he’s taken so much influence away from “traditional” scumbag GOP megadonor oligarchs. Having reserved most of the grifting and corruption for himself and his family.
