I’m a pretty serious Christian. It drives me up the wall that people like this are seen as representing my religion.

Look to your own soul, Pete.

  2. People do not understand that Seperation of Church and State actually protects individuals to worship the way they want. We are headed to a time where the government will dictate what religions are OK to practice. Let’s hope we can change course.

He is playing on people’s dreams. There is a reason for the separation of church and state. We have many religions in this country.

These men are the true danger to our constitution but the great showman still has a grip on his “ Trump train cult” and they won’t ever admit they were wrong…

Religion has no place in government.

I work a state job in a red state. I get witnessed to at work, they have bibles laying open on their desks. They absolutely think nothing is wrong because of the right wing hate spewed at them from the pulpit.

I deal with this everyday…. If I say one word about anything bad about this man… I get the unchristian go to excuse “but Biden did blah blah”

I told the worst “church lady” – who happens to be a closet racist, Biden never gave one of his citizens the middle finger. No response.

Stated how about his pic showing himself as Jesus. Silence.

High gas prices – it’s “gods plan”. Please.

There is really something wrong with the people here. I have to keep my mouth shut but it maddens me every day.

As Christian of another Christian denomination- I want to puke.

Our country is very full of ignorant (not dumb) people who are assisting the demise of this democracy.

They think their form of Christianity is the best.. forsaking all others.

Who could have thought it might not be a good idea to put a guy who has an “deus vult” tattoo and wrote a book “American crusade”, where he calls for an holy war against muslim country, in charge of your military.

The popular propaganda and newspeak of pages like thedailybeast will be part of the downfall of the US.
Some people mildly upset but not doing anything isn’t even remotely close to “fury”.
This page is selling cope without solution, and US Americans are buying it by the dozends.

  6. If any one of the tump administration were truly religious, they wouldn’t be part of his administration.

I’ve spoken to individuals who are in PP’s camp, asked them how they could reconcile the teachings of Jesus with the behaviors of Christian Nationalists. They’ve told me outright they don’t really care what actual truths stack up against their beliefs and practices. They freely admit they make things up as they go.

The line between personal faith and institutional ‘pushing’ is exactly why we have the Establishment Clause. In a hierarchy as rigid as the military, a superior’s ‘suggestion’ often feels like a command. It’s a slippery slope that we’ve seen play out before.

  9. Conservative billionaires created MAGA Jesus, an anti-socialist, union hating, image and likeness of Greedy monkeys. A corporate friendly Jesus to pacify labor and promote Transactional Capitalism, transactional Jesus is the result. It’s never been about do gooder Christianity.

  10. Imagine all the trump goons doubling down today and if we are lucky to have Trump’s terms ended, they all will try to run for presidency anyway in 2028 to flood the ballot with lawsuits against prosecutions. The same tactic will drag us another decade to destroy this country.

  11. I really think he believes this shit, too. Trump and his cronies are grifters through and through, and religion is a key part of that grift. But Kegsbreath, damn, the dude is a certifiable religious nut

Well how do you get a christofascist stormtrooper force without christofascism?

Dude preaches more than Franklin Graham. Something, something, warrior, something, god, something, warrior, something, god…

    Whacked.

Critics argue this raises concerns about separation of church and state in the military

Up next, suicide bombers for Jesus. I wonder who they will be ordered to praise before they push the button.

Maybe some manned drones? The soldiers don’t need to be there, but it’s the principle and the statement that really matters. /s
