Short of actual, conclusive death, I think the theories will always be, “it was staged.”

It’s understandable (if weird) just because so much this administration does and says seems to bogus, so contradictory, so outright dishonest and distorted.

  2. ScreamingmadJoe on

Tbf having the first thing you say after an assassination attempt be “see this is why the ballroom I want is important” probably isn’t helping

  3. thistimelineisweird on

Yeah no one trusts this current administration. They keep falling back to the same played out bullshit.

  4. This is going to get interesting when someone ends up in court saying they swore to defend the constitution from enemies foreign and domestic, and the courts claim that’s not a valid oath or defense because he attacked a domestic enemy who happens to be the president.

That court decision would effectively nullify the oath every service member swears when they join the military.

This “administration” is so corrupt and lies so much, and the american media just goes along with it, that no one believes anything they say any more.

Trump using this incident to promote his corrupt ballroom has not helped at all.

The planning on checkpoints beforehand and bumbling response could give you that impression whether you’re a conspiracy theorist or not.

If it wasn’t staged, it sure says something about how well managed your government agencies are these days.

  7. When you rape children and start a war to hide from that fact, theres not really any lower you could go morally speaking, so faking a 4th assassination attempt is logical and rightfully assumed.

  8. Does Donald really think these bullshit theatrics are going to garner any support?

  9. It’s literally what Putin told Orban to do to sway the election. It’s what probably swayed the US election.

  10. We know this crew would try false flags like they did in Hungary. I saw Timothy Snyder this week specifically saying to be on the lookout for false flags. Not saying this is that, but if ever there were a false flag it will be around now.

  11. Well the administration shutdown any investigation of the shooting in Butler, PA so…

When the boy who cried wolf cries wolf, it’s hard to believe there’s an actual wolf.

  13. if it’s real, the secret service was incompetent. if it’s fake, the secret service was incompetent. Based on photos of the potential. ‘victims,’ during and afterwards, location of a camera recording in the stairwell that the secret service ‘ignored’, and the immediate and pointed statements made by the administration afterwards, everything about this stinks to high heaven.

the ballroom hype kind of gave it away pretty easy… that’s the last thing I would be thinking of in the heat of the moment

  15. Well, he is not a believable person and no one trusts this administration at all.

  16. HandsomePistachio on

It’s literally a boy who cried wolf situation. Even if it were legit, why should we believe him? He lies about everything else.

  17. People think the assassination attempts on Trump are fake because they don’t trust Trump. People don’t trust Trump because every other word out of his butthole of mouth is an obvious and provable lie. So, when there is a major event like an assassination attempt, people’s first reaction is to assume that it’s all just a fake publicity stunt.

Personally, I think the assassination attempts are real. But, the fact that Trump keeps trying to use these events as a marketing ploy (the photo after the assassination where his ear was grazed, and now Trump using an assassination attempt to promote his ballroom) doesn’t help the situation.

  18. The boy who cried wolf and Trump are one in the same.

Real or fake, who cares at this point the dude will just lie lie lie. We have no real reason to believe anything that comes out of this administration

  19. There’s 2 big reasons why

    1) this administration is failing. It’s unpopular and desperate so staging something like this could be a way to try and shore up public support

    2) Trump’s reaction:.he’s an emotional guy if someone truly tried to hurt him he’d probably be calling for revenge. Instead he’s basically going “see this is why we need my tacky unpopular ballroom!!”

His joyful anticipation of going to an event he’s trashed all the previous years he’s been president made it feel staged before anything happened. His willingness to attend the night they’re honoring the NYT reporters who wrote the Epstein Birthday Card piece seemed staged. All the chatter about how tight security was before the event started seemed staged. His entire cabinet on hand seemed staged. Erika Kirk being there seemed staged. His response about how united the room felt even before the attempted violence, how this is proof that we’ve needed the ballroom for 150 years, and how this guy was definitely a lone wolf within AN HOUR of the event, seems pretty staged.

He never wrote a speech. His claim that it was going to be vicious, but now he’ll have to water it down for the rescheduled event, is the telltale sign of an inveterate liar. Those journalists are never going to get their ceremony. No one will ever question why he never attends one of these again, even though he says he wants to (like he always says he wants to testify in those court hearings, but his darn lawyers just won’t let him), and his calls for a reduction in violence are hollow words when Iran is escalating, and ICE is at our polls. It was all too staged for the actual attempt to have not been staged, tbh. But that won’t stop the denials against everything we see and hear, as usual.

  21. I_heart_cancer on

I don’t understand why anyone actually thinks that was real. It’s obviously another fake performance to try and manipulate his poll numbers.
The Trump “assassination attempts” are all clearly fake. It’s kinda pathetic really. So predictable and so tired 🥱

  22. I dont know how true it is, but apparently Trump never attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner ever, not in his first Presidency and not in his 2nd until now. And then suddenly he went. And conveniently there was an attempt at his life during his first ever attendance.

If true this alone raises major red flags for me.

  23. I definitely lean towards this event being staged, but at the same time I find that whole damn group to be so stupid that I don’t believe they can keep this lie completely secret.

  24. It’s hard to believe esp when you see all their cult members posting not that he’s okay but about him getting that stupid ballroom

  25. When you have a pathological liar as president, someone who screams “FAKE NEWS!” practically everyday, who is the leader of a party that has practically trademarked “crisis actor”, then you shouldn’t be surprised that the American public has chosen to respond the way it has.

The leader of the country sets the tone. If MAGAts don’t like this tone, then they need to stop supporting the tone-setter.

Who placed last minute bets on thr poly market? Would not be surprised to hear it was from inside the house

  27. The right has gone on for years and decades how every major incident from terror attacks to mass shootings was staged and an inside job.

Trump has been exaggerating, misremembering and lying about basically everything for years.

They took extreme advantage of a situation where somebody shot near trumps ear and when Charlie Kirk was killed after literally defending shootings with his last breath.

Nobody takes anything at face value anymore even when real things happen,

Now we are at the point where someone could actually shoot Trump for real in fron of a crowd and a sizeable number of people will believe it was staged.

  28. As they should be. His popularity is waning even with MAGAs so he needs to elicit sympathy and seem like a martyr. You can’t tell me an event like this wouldn’t be crawling with security. And he immediately used the gunfire to promote his tacky ballroom.

  29. GreyBeardEng on

It’s a little weird that the shooter had an image of himself wearing an IDF shirt on Instagram, and his name was trending on Israel social media 6 hours before the correspondence dinner. Then after the dinner was the talking heads on the right would talk about is the need for the Whitehouse ballroom like had all received a script. Then the correspondence dinner just continued, which was an active crime scene.

    Very very sus

  30. And MAGA suddenly hates conspiracy theories despite the fact that Trump’s political career started with a conspiracy theory about a fake birth certificate.

  31. Remember when we could trust the president and the secret service?

I’ve had a chance to look at this now. Sorry, I’m not buying it. I was wondering why Trump changed his mind and went to the dinner. This is why.
