  1. Voters are having our right to vote suppressed like how Southern racists and the KKK suppressed people 60 years ago. And the suppression is being done by the *same people as then*. Same type of people, anyway. People who support ICE now would have supported the Klan 60 years ago. The evil we see now is a resurgence of evil from ages past. But it’s weaker than before. Fascism doesn’t belong in the world of today, and fascists are well aware of that. Fox News denies reality *because reality itself is against its evil*. The far-right is *desperate* because they see that they are *losing* to the will of the American people.

Even Virginia is trying to disenfranchise everyone not living in the northern Virginia DC suburbs. Anything for political power

I don’t know how to not feel utterly defeated and deflated but this news

It feels like the bad guys won and we can fight as hard as we want to November and beyond, but in the end they will get what they want and good loses…

The complete Conservative takeover of the country feels nearly assured because despite being a minority they will have the greatest control over the votes

  4. Like we weren’t largely disenfranchised already right? Not saying it’s not bad but pretending just now is where things went wrong is stupid as fuck.

  5. Now? There is a history of many potential groups of voters in this country being disenfranchised. Nothing new.

  6. If voting no longer matters, they’re begging us to get them out of office by means beyond voting.

SCOTUS has anointed apartheid in America only 30 years after it collapsed in south Africa.

That’s gotta be a human rights record for flip flopping from one extreme to another.

To actually unite against apartheid in 1990 and then embrace and celebrate apartheid in 2026?

White supremacy never went away but they did manage to hire some blacks to do the dirty work. Maybe that is the best progress we can hope for. Blacks advanced to oppressing other blacks.

The castration of the voting rights act was a big part of project 2025 to ensure christo-fascist regimes are legally impregnable.

The goal is to always have white supremacists in power and they can weaponize the law against the minority and blacks will never be represented. It’s legal apartheid.

This will surely be the last of the last straws that will cause the US to revolt and bring an end to the pedophile administration, right?

  10. If you see something about minority voters and the Supreme Court today, here is an explanation

SCOTUS just gutted the VRA and allowed for reverse discrimination to be taken seriously as part of a legal argument in the highest court of our nation.

    6-3 Callais v. Landry

A group of non-Black voters challenged this map as an “unconstitutional racial gerrymander”

a Louisiana congressional map had been redrawn to include a second Black-majority district to comply with the VRA

SCOTUS: race was too predominant in the maps creation, effectively siding with the challenge.

DISSENT: The ruling strengthens the argument that creating minority-opportunity districts to comply with the VRA is a form of illegal “reverse discrimination”.

  11. Bad things happen when you disenfranchise voters. Things in not allowed to say on here. Let’s not go down that road, please?

  12. In the 2000 election half a million more voted for Gore than Bush, but SCOTUS voted 5-4 that Bush should win so he did.

In the 2016 election 3 million more voted for Clinton than trump, but the EC voted for trump.

US voters have been disenfranchised for a long time. They get to vote, but even when their candidate gets more votes their candidate loses which is effectively disenfranchising the population from choosing the president.
