Trump’s second wall is a ruined economy and corruption. He’s making the US look unattractive in comparison to the places people typically used to emigrate from.

Well, if that isn’t the Trump adminstration and his wider worldview summarised in a headline, then I don’t know what is.

We had this so-called “1,000-year-old archaeological site”—very old, very dusty, nobody even knew what it was, okay? People said it was “important,” they always say that. But I looked at it, and I said, “You know what’s more important? Security. Strong borders. Safety for our people.” And that’s exactly what we did.

We bulldozed it—fast, efficient, beautiful job, the best equipment, the best people. And now? In its place, we will have a section of wall that’s absolutely incredible. Strong, tall, nobody gets through. Experts are saying it’s one of the most impressive sections anywhere. They love it.

The archaeologists were upset, very upset—tears, protests, you name it. But I said, “Folks, we’re building the future, not living in the past.” And frankly, a lot of people agree with me. They come up to me, big strong people, and they say, “Sir, that wall—worth it.” And I say, “I know. I know.”

We’re protecting our country, and we’re doing it in style. Nobody builds walls like we do. Nobody.

Not surprised. Trump is erasing all the history he can. A 1,000-year-old archeological site that definitely should have been protected, Trump wanted it gone. He doesn’t want to live in the past.

History is what brought us to our present. Shame Trump doesn’t understand how any of this works.

He is a symptom, not the problem. He IS American values in their modern incarnation. Literally.

proving once again that words like tradition, culture, and heritage are meaningless to conservatives.

  8. What the? Second wall? Did they even finish the first? It’s like the guy has ADD with billion dollar projects that don’t get finished.

As a side note: Project 2025 (page 532) calls for the repeal of the Antiquities Act, which protects cultural and natural resources of historic or scientific interest.

    >…the new Administration must seek repeal of the Antiquities Act of 1906,
which permitted emergency action by a President long before the statutory authority existed for the protection of special federal lands
