    > Pedo Piggy Claims It’s “Unconstitutional”

…without the first clue what the word means.

  2. nobackup42 on

That’s the whole point. Congress needs to validate … he’s not a king …. Or wait …

  3. Rough_Common6857 on

Lol in his shriveled dementia brain, anything against him is unconstitutional.

It’s amazing what you think is “unconstitutional” when you have no fucking clue what’s in the Constitution. I’m sure Trump knows the 1st and 2nd amendments …. and that’s about it.

  5. I’m curious how this works. What’s preventing him from simply saying it’s over (as he seems to already have done), and then starting it up again? How does the law define the “ending” of a war?

  6. If Congress approves it, they own it. They are not going to do that. But, Republicans will do nothing to stop him either. Trump knows that; he just wants someone else to blame for the mess he’s created.

Sure. Words have no meaning now anyway. Tax the color blue. Raise the minimum drinking age for plants. As long as we all play along, its all true. I fucking hate it here.

  8. Please inform the candid European I am: why is the deadline not on day minus one exactly?

I guess trump didn’t listen to the real Kings speech. I guess they ran out of crayons and Comic Sans font for the clown-in-chief

“This is not a war, it is a Special Military Operation”…

Gee I wonder where we heard that before?

It’s “unconstitutional” for them to do their required job… which is telling the president no when no is the correct answer.

Like a toddler, Trump’s just using a word he’s heard constantly without any concept of its actual meaning…

Checks and balances are literally built into the Constitution to prevent a jackass like Trump from abusing their power in the first place. The biggest problem is that Congress and the Supreme Court have been derelict in their duty. The other problem is that voters shouldn’t have put him in that position in the first place, but that’s a failure on the US education system’s part, along with intense right-wing propoganda (likely fueled by foreign influence campaigns).

“Constitution? I can’t say I’ve heard about it. It’s not something I’m familiar with” – Mike Johnson, when asked to clarify the president’s statement.

Would be cool if a single reporter would ask him “Which part?”

In high school, we were taught that American government is based on “checks and balances”.

    That was DECADES ago.

Today, we have a new king, with reigning, unlimited power (and just enough god glitter to call him the “Orange Jesus”)…and he DOESN’T give two hoots what Congress or the Supreme Court or most definitely what the American public expect from the president.

He is lord and master…all must bow to him or face the wrath of his unchecked power.

Half of American must be crazy-mad to have voted for a dictator. Hope they are enjoying it, because the rest of us (sane) people are not.

That’s literally what congress is for – to keep the President in check.

I’m not American, so forgive me for asking a stupid question:

1 – Let’s assume that it is unconstitutional
    2 – Let’s assume that he’s hit the 60 day limit
3 – What is the consequence of him saying “fuck it” and staying longer?

I mean… impeachment, but that would never happen with the current congress/senate… he’ll just ignore the courts… so…. what?

  19. ThatOldEngineerGuy on

The fat, orange, small handed, walking/stumbling emolument wants to weigh in on what is constitutional and what isn’t?

Seriously, just how unpatriotic and brain damaged do you even have to be, to still call yourself a supporter of this weird, stupid man?

  20. westergames81 on

Spoilers: He’s going to ignore it and Congress will continue to not care.

  21. Deep-Werewolf-635 on

If Congress had any spine they would have impeached him long ago for his military exercise that we all know is a war

He doesn’t even seek approval or consent before sticking his revolting cock into his victims. His foreign policy is entirely based on the unrepentant rapist’s mindset.

  23. Trump and Hegseth are responsible for killing a lot of innocent school children all because Trump desperately needs a diversion from his involvement in child rape and underage sex trafficking with Epstein.
