I know it’s a complicated issue but maybe the US abandoning its allies will strike up the band in Europe and get them to prioritize defense budgets to deal with Russias fucking stupid bullshit.

Germany as a government lost the plot when it comes to both NATO and U.S. defense relationships.
Europe as a whole is guilty of this but Germany was a special kind of shitty when it came out they signed that huge pipeline deal with Russia.
Years back during Trump’s first term, he called out Germany directly at a NATO event because Germany had just signed a huge pipeline deal with the Russians. Trump said to the NATO rep. You can’t fund Russia and then complain to the U.S. you need our security help to defend against Russia. That’s insanely ridiculous and I’m glad they got called out for it.
Then to take this a step further and have NATO allies tell us how we can or can’t use OUR bases we fund and manage in their countries? No. That’s nonsense. You’re literally having us subsidize your national security.
If the United States fully pulls out of Europe, the Europeans will end up having to start slashing social programs to cover the costs of a domestic EU military. Meanwhile the United States will be able to reinvest our money back home into the same programs that Europe takes for granted.
