  1. Headline implies different to post title.

They are buying 50 F35 and 25 F15 (according to article) with 100/50 been total fleet size.

Given US aid comes with the requirement it be spent on purchasing military equipment from the US I wonder how much the US taxpayer is spending on Israel’s new jets.

  2. The backbone of the Israeli Air Force, i.e. F-16s and F-15s are mostly from the 80s and 90s. Given how many flying hours they have put in over the last years, it is fairly inevitable Israel will have to accelerate their replacement. So expect even more purchases than the total fleet size of 100 F-35 and 50 F-15EX.

Notably, the military aid deal Israel has with the US runs out in 2028 and has already been allocated for a big part on CH-53Ks, KC-46s, and alike. Let’s see what the likely new deal will look like

Misleading headline. These planes are a tribute from their American slaves, not a purchase.  Patrons don’t “buy things” from their clients.

Who is paying for that? Recent F35 acquisitions were made with defense aid package from US(according to this same Jerusalem Post)
US supplying Israel at own expense and ghosting european allies with AA interceptors while having tantrums because they didn’t join in Iran war is such a joke at this point

its always funny to see how different US aid is characterize when its given to Israel vs other countries like Ukraine on reddit.

Israel – “US taxpayers are on the hook for paying Israel’s new F-35 jets!”

Ukraine – “The aid is being used to pay US defense companies in America which means jobs for Americans!”

  6. Jokes on everyone. Israel got money from the US government to buy those jets.
