Unrelated question : Is there any way he can be put out of power without 1) an invasion 2) a bloody internal coup 3) french revolution type uprising?

Basically any way that doesn’t involve “heads, spikes, walls”

A supreme leader hiding in a bunker while their country disintegrates around them? Where have I heard that before?

I’d be just as worried about the people in the bunker with me if I were him. Its the environment he created

  4. Oligarchs are getting tired of not being able to get richer.

Pressure’s on and they’re looking for a solution.

Surprised there hasn’t been an internally orchestrated regime change yet.

Good. Let him rot in a dark hole looking behind his back for the rest of his life.

  7. I said before. He burned any chance of survival if a coup happens after last time with Prigozhin. Making an agreement and then killing him means no one will trust him a second time.

It’s not even close to what they actually deserve, but there is some peace in the fact that autocrats usually go out as sniveling paranoid cowards hiding in bunkers

Hey I remember how this story goes. So much for expanding that living space…

  10. Pretty sure that fear started way earlier than that, back when Ukraine actually showcased that they could get drones into moscow territory. He also created an unsustainable economy which as we know, the moment people struggle living, attempts are being made.

  11. This reminds me of all those stories 2 years ago about how he was dying from cancer.

Brave Sir Putin ran away. Bravely ran away, away.

When danger reared it’s ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.

Yes, brave Sir Putin turned about, and gallantly he chickened out!

Swiftly taking to his feet he beat a very brave retreat! Bravest of the Brave, Sir Putin!

Edit: to those unfamiliar: Monty Python.

  13. If he sits in a bunker then anyone else would be free to sit in his chair in his office and actually do something useful. Let his guards off with immunity from charges of treason.

What’s he gonna do? Get out and risk getting merc’d? Sounds like that would work out well in the hands of the people to me.

If he stays then let him sit there in his timeout booth until he’ll apologize to Ukraine, Georgia, Chechnya and all other countries or allies he has screwed over. Oh and all the Russian people aswell for wasting their lives and their future for your own.

  14. The most shocking thing about this is that there are a bunch of people who consider this man “strong”. Hiding in a bunker, far from all the atrocities he commands, old, weak, afraid. Most grannys are stronger than this guy.

But hey, he posted a photo of riding a horse shirtless once, he must be tough, right? Right?!

So brave as always, stumpy Putin. He has been a coward his entire life not just now

Good, fuckin scumbag can live in fear the rest of his life. I’ll sleep just fine knowing there are people after his head.

  17. Everyone down there with him: “Can’t fall out of any windows down here!”

  18. The guy knows he is doing the wrong thing thats why he is hiding like a mouse running from a comedian.

Has the Russian army been taking particularly bad casualties lately. The Ukrainians have also been hitting that St Petersburg(?) shipping terminal, and that’s really impacting their exports. In gangster worlds, you’re only welcome as long as you can pay.

There are several bunkers he can access very very cheap – they’re normally buried six feet deep, room for one only. Very restful I believe, and lovely upholstery.

We could even start a crowdfund going to buy him one.

  21. Despite all the macho posturing, like shirtless horse riding and whatnot, Putin has always been a coward. His “meetings with people” are just getting photographed with his bodyguards and whatnot wearing different civilian clothes. When visiting a hospital during Covid, others around had normal protective hospital clothing, but Putin was wearing a special suit like he was inspecting Chernobyl core in 1986. Also lets not forget the legendary long table. Closest he has been to the frontline at Ukraine was “bravely” driving over the Crimea bridge. When mutinous Wagner drove towards Moscow, Putin fled to Petersburg.

All this is also the reason why Putin fanboys have such a visceral hate towards Zelenskyy. The comedian who didn’t escape Kyiv during Russian offensive, and has repeatedly made close frontline visits, demonstrating what a craven pussy that “ex-KGB tough guy” Putin really is.
