Republicans who slammed Biden’s gas prices are preaching patience for Trump. On Friday, gas prices hit $4.54/gal , a 47% increase from the average of $2.98 shortly before Trump’s war began. There’s no plan to address gas prices in Congress, GOP lawmakers said. “It’s a sacrifice we have to make.”

Biden’s gas prices were largely due to Ukraine, and partly due to Trump negotiating higher oil prices with the Saudis from 2020-2022

Oil price is expected to settle at about $200 if the strait remains closed. That cost will almost double today’s prices in low gas tax areas.
