  1. It’s an interesting dichotomy.

    On the one hand, most of the world is thinking “fossil fuels are unpredictable, we must work to migrate faster to clean energy.”

    But as this article points out, on the other hand, may oil companies, especially the US ones, are absolutely *raking* in profits, billions a month now. And between that, and the extra subsidies that Trump gave them in his “big beautiful bill”, they are going to be sitting on an absolute mountain of cash when (if?) this war ever ends.

    And with those billions, they can further entrench themselves, further lobby, further buy out politicians, and further slow our transition to green energy.
