I am pretty sure all those Buy-Bull thumpers, in those Trump-vangelical churches, are willing to enlist, so in the end JEEEZUUUSS will come back.

  2. Oh no. If only they didn’t have a radical far right population that took advantage of American tax dollars.

Now this is some interesting stuff. Who is serving and who isn’t serving in Israel is a sore point. Tied directly to religion.

Isn’t Israel population growing? Just ppay soldiers more and you won’t have that issue

  8. They should look to their ultra-orthodox community that is exempt from their conscription laws or stop starting new wars and get serious about resolving the current ones.

  9. I remember reading about this a few months ago.

The wording is a bit of an exaggeration (though there’s a purpose for that). A big part of his job as the Chief of Staff is drumming up long-term political + policy support for the armed forces (recruiting, funding, resources, etc), and this type of language pushes lawmakers to consider things more seriously.

Currently, the IDF isn’t anywhere near organizational collapse, even with current manpower shortages. The biggest constraints are gonna be politics + homefront tolerance for conflicts.

So this is why republicans are pushing for US citizens who serve in the Israeli army to have the same benefits as those enlisted with the US…
