Looking forward to all the people opposed to the death penalty, unless it’s dealt out by one criminal to another in prison

I’m definitely not going to weep for him. But there have been a number of high profile killings and attacks in our maximum security prisons lately, that I find pretty concerning.
If prisoners are able to do this to each other, then what’s stopping them from doing it to a member of staff?

Obviously security is lacking with the rise in high profile prison attacks and killings, but an isolated environment of violent criminals engaging in violent acts is not surprising.
Unless the prison system gets more resources to isolate all violent inmates then there’s a limit to what they can effectively do to stop violent inmates doing violent things inside.
I don’t condone violence happening in prison but logically an isolated group of violent criminals will inevitably engage in violent behaviours.

No one cares this man died.
I do care when it comes out soon an innocent man died from a false charge that we can’t keep people safe.
I’m not even anti death penalty. But we sentenced Watkins to a life I misery in jail followed by slow death in old age. I want the sentence followed through.

The justice/prison system should absolutely not allow offenders to be murdered whilst in state custody, and nobody should be celebrating it, regardless of how awful a human being that offender is. And the fact these kind of incidents seem to be happening on a more frequent basis in the highest security prisons we have is genuinely concerning.
Imagine if a totally innocent Andrew Malkinson was murdered in prison because of the “crimes” he “committed”

Staggering level of corruption in UK prisons. It isn’t incompetence, it’s corruption. People on the take. You cannot convince me that the drug trade in UK prisons could exist with propert searching and turnovers without warning.
