“Senior HHS officials in the immediate office of the secretary have in recent months sought U.S. Food and Drug Administration marketing approval of cigarette flavors that would appeal to children and expose them to nicotine addiction, lung damage and higher risk of cancer,” Danker wrote in his resignation letter to President Trump, according to the New York Times.

“Routine approval of these products would undermine the agency’s Flavored Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems Premarket Applications Considerations Related to Youth Risk guidance for industry issued March with the support of the White House,” he added”

Wait they resigned over blueberry and mango and menthol flavored vapes? This sounds like the most nothing Burger reason to leave?

Even people in RFK Jr’s own office know that vapes shouldn’t be marketed to children.

I would have resigned after RFKjr brought his hobby of dissecting raccoon penises to work.

Trump (almost 80). Does. Not. Care. He only cares if it affects him. He is dying and doesn’t care about other people’s health or wellbeing and never has. He would personally recommend heroin for kids if somebody paid him enough money to go that route.

The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) brand just took a massive hit. You can’t claim to be protecting kids from toxins while your administration literally strong-arms the FDA into approving Blue Razz nicotine sticks. Danker resigning in protest is a huge signal that the internal friction is becoming a fracture.

    >Danker did not blame Trump for the advancement of policy promoting e-cigarettes, despite the president’s explicit push to save vaping.
