Eh. Since the Trump administration has made it absolutely clear that they are not to be counted on anyways in the face of russian aggression, good riddance i say. Better no “allies” than a 5th column.

USA has more benefit from its bases world wide then the world has benefit from USA bases being there.
If USA close all bases and move all their soldiers to USA world would still continue and life would go on just fine.
But then how would USA project strenght if it is only in USA stationed. So good luck to them, cuz they need us more then we need them.

Judging from US performance in Iran recently, perhaps this is actually a good thing.. I feel at this point the US military would just get in the way and probably friendly fire us in the process.

One thing I think of increasingly often, is what will America do in the event that Russia invades Europe, and the White House just lets it happen. I wonder how the people of this country would act if something like that happened. I fear that a lot of people would feel very apathetic to that sort of scenario
