  1. [Reuters reports](https://uk.news.yahoo.com/exclusive-pakistan-deploys-jet-squadron-111017743.html?ncid=redditnewsus) – Pakistan has deployed 8,000 troops, a squadron of fighter jets and an air defence system to Saudi Arabia under a mutual defence pact, ramping up military cooperation with Riyadh even ‌as Islamabad serves as the main mediator in the Iran war.

The deployment, the full scale of which is reported here for ‌the first time, was confirmed by three security officials and two government sources, all of whom described it as a substantial, combat-capable force intended to support Saudi Arabia’s military if the kingdom comes under further attack.

Pakistan’s military and foreign office and Saudi Arabia’s government media office did not respond to requests for comment on the deployment.

Just a bunch of nuclear powers with religious hatred in their hearts having a little weekend skirmish oh nothing bad is gonna happen HERE!

I think the aliens are going to intervene pretty soon. They only come around when we start dicking around with nooks.

I’m very impressed by how serious Pakistan takes this mutual defense pact. They are not really hostile to Iran, right? Pretty committed.

Now this is actually interesting to see.

India is everyone’s friend because we help no one in war but send medical aid to everyone.

Pakistan is trying to do the opposite by actively joining the war while also being the referee for the ceasefire.

Looking forward to see how both strategies play out.

Oh wow, so many jets, if only you could divert the money from the army towards the common folk.

This is merely a show by Pakistanis to say they honor the defense pact, I doubt they are going to be fighting the Iranians. This is probably also to quell any rebellion in Saudi against the house of Saud.

They are doing vigorous business with the Iranians themselves. I would say this is a very smart move by the Pakistanis to play both sides to their advantage.

The real implication behind this is is Pakistan going to replace US as the Saudi’s security guarantor ? If this is the case did the Saudis make a deal with the Iranians that they were going to kick the US out and replace with Pakistanis, in exchange for being spared by the Iranians in a future conflict ? My thought is this is very possible. So I don’t think the Americans are happy about this development.

Pakistan debt situation means they get in bed with anyone who pays at the end. No real friends, no diplomacy, no long term national vision or goals, it’s all up for sale.

Pakistan is widely known to be ruled by military dictatorship with a namesake government body which actually doesn’t have any power. By all international standards it’s a failed nation.
