Great, now the Russians will be able to kill more Ukrainian men, women, and children. The main thing is that gas prices don’t go up. Thanks, UK! /s

People dont get that there is a balance to be made because if life gets too shitty for the average person they’re going to vote for people who throw ukraine under the bus entirely, whether you like that or not. In democracies the leaders must listen to the whims of the people even if they don’t like it.

The US policy of damaging European economies via the Iran war in order to force them to buy Russian oil is working then.

    New axis of evil confirmed.

The moment Strait of Hormuz closed, sanctions on Russian oil were not feasible. No matter how righteous your war is, you can’t drag the whole world in energy collapse. Any sensible USA administration would’ve realised that. Either you are dumb enough to not realise that or you are a Russian lackey who wanted this all along.

  5. So ordinary people are told sanctions are necessary because Russia must be squeezed financially… right up until fuel prices go up and suddenly there’s a loophole.

Kind of shows how quickly “principles” start bending when voters feel it at the pump.

  6. I find this really hard to believe. The UK have always stood up for Ukraine.

I am disappointed in my country- we are wealthy enough to take a little more pain in solidarity and defence of Ukraine who have to put up with unimaginably worse.

yeah i mean its simples real pain often blunts the rhetoric, strangely though Europen nations wanted India to stop importing Russian oil after Trump came back to power
