Too often the SAR Act has been used speciously and in bad faith to prevent housing and infrastructure from being built. If we’re serious about building housing and new infrastructure we may have to be willing to eliminate a habitat of the Western Chorus Frog. I’m willing to make that trade off.

I’m going to be the asshole, I don’t actually care if we kill off some cuddly looking whales, expanding our ports.
Or if some new wind turbines mulch some birds.
I hate the MOU because it’s setting up the Canadian government to subsidize the largest, most profitable industry in the country, owned by foreign billionaires, buying yet another pipeline, that may not even be needed 50 years from now. Not because of some green-tinged NIMBYism.
