I’ve spoken to some of these disgruntled Russians who are upset with Putin. They’re just that: upset with Putin.
Not the system. Not the overarching structure. Not the way their society and politics are set up. Just Putin.
The penny for me truly dropped when during the discussion, the Russians I spoke with started agreeing that what Russia needed (no joke) was a return to a form of monarchy.
