  1. Had the DNC held a primary, she likely would not have won that either TBH.

If I you ask me a lot of Americans failed America, we shouldn’t need Biden to see how evil Trump is we already had 4 years plus the campaigns. Should have voted against Trump even if Kamala was out there punching homeless people.

  3. Biden failed Kamala and America by not committing to a single-term presidency and a transition to new Democratic leadership much sooner, like after the midterms in 2022. After that debate was way too late.

    >The 192-page draft document outlines existing conventional wisdom about the contest and **leaves blank entire sections such as the conclusion.** But it does assign some blame, in particular to former President Joe Biden’s political operation in the White House for failing to properly set up former Vice President Kamala Harris as the party’s standard bearer.

The only thing the inept report managed to do was state the obvious.

  5. The entire Dem establishment fell flat on its face in 2024. It was not limited to the administration.

I don’t think Kamala’s loss is due to any single issue; it was a combination of things that ultimately lost her the race.

That said, a significant element is Biden waiting until the eleventh hour to withdraw from the running and leaving Kamala with four months to mount a campaign. Him running for a second term at all robbed us of a primary. Regardless of his presidential accomplishments, he is part of the reason we’re where we are.

Biden should have stood down and paved the way for a replacement..
Instead the inept Dem leadership failed the party, their supporters, the nation and the world…

We need real leaders on the left, not these chucks.

How about Biden and his team failed Democratic Party by running for reelection in the first place. And then compounded the problem by not withdrawing and allowing the party to choose a viable candidate itself.

I would say that nothing would have worked to get her elected. She was done before it even started. She had no buy in from Democrats at all and couldn’t even stay in the 2020 race to get to the first primary.

Can we stop with being nice about this. It’s painfully obvious. She never was going to win no matter what anyone says.

  9. The DNC Failed the DNC Voters. Kamala wasnt a popular choice in the 2020 primary, She wasnt even top 5, and then we didnt even get a 2024 primary to show if she had support or what issues were important to voters. DNC was banking on winning solely on a ‘She’s not Trump’ platform and then took no strong stance on issues that mattered most.

I voted for biden and harris in the generals, not because i wanted to but because this fucked up system gave me no other choices. Half of my peers chose not to bite their tongue and abstained from voting all together.

Biden will have the legacy of being the last real US president. He screwed the pooch so hard on Trump that we will likely never recover.

    >In [a May 21 Substack post](https://blueprint.democrats.org/p/a-message-from-dnc-chair-ken-martin?r=8xbs&utm_medium=ios&triedRedirect=true), however, the embattled chair said withholding the document created “an even bigger distraction” while reiterating it doesn’t meet party standards.

    >**”I am not proud of this product; it does not meet my standards, and it won’t meet your standards,” Martin said.**

    >**”I don’t endorse what’s in this report, or what’s left out of it. I could not in good faith put the DNC’s stamp of approval on it,**” he added. “But transparency is paramount.”

Just gonna leave this here for everyone who just read a headline.

Elon and Trump stole that shit. He went from not filling his own events to winning all the swing states…yea ok.

  13. ThirdDimensionGate on

Democrats failed us by not asking for a recount in the most unlikely swing state results in our history and not running on tax reform and universal health care.

The problem is our reps don’t represent the people and our system has legalized bribery

Biden would have lost by 15 to someone not named Trump. Should not have run for reelection with his health, and his circle shouldn’t have tried to cover it up.

  15. Ornery_Cantaloupe_20 on

The Democratic Party failed America and it’s not the first time in recent memory.

Should have had a some sort of primary in Democratic convention that summer of 24.Biden shouldnt have just nominated Kamala.

  17. UnfortunatelyMacabre on

I think it is easy for us to draw a contrast between how the Dems can’t land on a cohesive action plan to match something like Project 2025. But it’s worth reminding ourselves that Conservatives don’t have to build the kind of coalitions in their party that Dems do. They can, quite literally, run on a single issue, while Dems have no such option.

Because of how our two party system works, there’s a lot of in-fighting between the coalitions of the Democratic Party, when it should really be broken into different parties. But there’s no political will behind that endeavor, because our election system is so broken that it won’t work with any more than two parties. The autopsy may help in the short term, but the long term effect of this issue is what keeps sinking campaigns.

The DNC failed the voters by thinking they know what is best for us without asking.

  19. BlackberryPi7 on

Lots of factors, but ultimately Americans being dumb as rocks lead to what happened

  20. Biden failed by not vigorously pursuing Trump’s seditious GOP like the rebellious organization they are. I mean the full north vs south treatment if it came to it. The gop are confederates in open rebellion and deserve to be treated that way.

He failed Harris by not announcing, early, his intent to not seek office again.

  21. She would have never won even with more time, and if a primary took palce she would have placed dead last just like last time. Lets all call. A spade a spade, a bad candidate is a bad candidate dont need a post mortem report for that

  22. This is all a lie, folks.

The 1% control everything now. They picked Biden for us in 2020. Then they told him not to run after the disastrous debate performance and then they chose Biden-lite (aka the only candidate liked even LESS than Biden in the 2020 primaries, ahem) within 24 hours just to keep us from picking someone during debates, primaries, and a possibly brokered convention.

But, more importantly, it didn’t matter. The 1% won either way. We lost either way. They got to keep their ridiculously low taxes and all of their special loopholes. We get jack shit.

    Want that to change?
