So Reform want to go from having four scrutiny panels to one, say it will improve scrutiny (and mention another example under Labour leadership elsewhere). Labour say it will reduce transparency and is “silencing” opposition.
The transparency/scrutiny angle seems like fair game (and I don’t know who’s right about that) but there doesn’t seem to be any “silencing” involved – that just seems a rhetorical maneuver to invoke free expression concerns.

They’re just copying everything Trump does from “DOGE” to attacking the media in response to any question asked then wondering why it isn’t working because this country isn’t the United States of Gilead and people won’t just put up with their nonsense
