Fuck that. Bet it listens for any negative mention of the administration/regime. People should leave it in their car consoles when they’re at home and bring it into the house when they’re out on their personal time.

Interesting that there is one little quote from the regime, “[keep] you connected to President Donald J. Trump and his administration like never before,”. Just insert Hitler for rump and the 3rd Reich for the admin and you would never know the difference.
Putting political messaging apps on government devices sounds like a cybersecurity and privacy nightmare waiting to happen. Government phones should be for secure communication and work tools, not apps tied to any administration or political branding.

The Hatch Act is supposed to strictly prohibit federal civil servants from engaging in partisan political activity while on duty or using government resources. It should make put an app the White House installs to push its partisan messaging unlawful. Of course, Donald Trump will pardon people doing illegal stuff for him and the Republican Congress won’t exercise appropriate oversight of the Donald Trump’s Executive Branch. The Democrats will (hopefully) recapture control of the House and Senate in a blue wave during the 2026 elections to provide actual oversight and leverage against the executive overreach.
I mean… it’s a government device. Turn it off when you go home and leave it on your desk. Fuck these weirdos.

Putting a non-optional, “overtly political” app on federal employees’ work devices feels like a massive violation of the Hatch Act. Federal workers are legally required to keep political campaigning completely separate from their government duties. Forcing this onto their phones is a wild precedent.
