CBS is state media. The US regime are mendacious liars. Who should I believe?

  2. the terms were negotiated with Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Jordan, and Bahrain.

Iran and Israel were not involved. Interpret that however you want.

  3. CBS pushing more of the administration’s bullshit narrative. Yet a top Iranian official has stated that they have not agreed to this whatsoever.

CBS is now an arm.of the administration. They are no longer reliable. STOP giving CBS / Paramount and the Ellison’s click-thru ad revenue!

From the linked news article: “The official said the U.S. believes Iran’s supreme leader has approved the template for a deal, but a final agreement still needs to be made before anything is signed.”

‘Template for a deal’ reminds me of the 2024 candidate Trump quote, re: replacing Obamacare:

“I have concepts of a plan. I’m not president right now. But if we come up with something that is better and less expensive, I will absolutely do it.”

When Iran publicly says it, that’s when I’ll believe it. This administration speaks too many lies for claims such as this to be believed. Completely bonkers to trust the Iranian regime over the United States, but that’s where we are.

  6. kaminaripancake on

At this point with all this whiplash what source am I even supposed to trust anymore? Like seriously every day it’s something

  7. Illustrious-Lime-878 on

Is there any other purpose than to “dispose” of it, one way or another? Did they specify exactly the method of disposal?

  8. feralraindrop on

Can’t the BBC or some reputable news organization get an interview with the Iranian government? At this point you can’t believe a word that comes out of the White House.

  9. Traditional-Look8839 on

*in principle* whatever the fuck that means given everything we know.

  10. jonathondcole on

Will believe it when I see it. Iran says this, Trump says that. Nothing aligns when they talk.

  11. Mysterious-Oil-7094 on

Pretty sure this is disinformation being spewed from the administration to save face. Because this appears to be entirely inconsistent with what Iran is saying publicly. So one is lying. Maybe both?

  12. Let’s give it a half a day before Iran to say they never said that and that Trump is lying lol.

  13. > The official said the administration believes this is a better deal than the 2015 deal agreed upon under former President Barack Obama, which allowed nuclear enrichment up to a certain level.

How is it a better deal? I don’t see restrictions on uranium enrichment mentioned anywhere. Nor is there an enforcement mechanism mentioned. If this is the US buying enriched uranium from Iran, without ending ongoing enrichment, that amounts to the US subsidizing Iran’s nuclear program, not ending it.

Hold on, the white house thinks we are going to believe a single word they say? Fucking rich.

  15. Either-Patience1182 on

At this point tge White House is not a source, it’s a market manipulation apparatus

  16. ghost_n_the_shell on

Can we stop reporting on what this clown administration says and go to legitimate sources for info?

  17. The legacy of this white house is that it’s word has no weight or trust. I’ll wait to see what Iran says, lol.

  18. Let me paraphrase Jon Snow from Game of Thrones:

“Everything before the word ~~’but’~~ ‘White House official says’ is horse shit”

  19. SoundOfMadness7 on

Weren’t there just reports like an hour or two ago of Iran literally saying they will not agree to disposing of any enriched-uranium?

  20. How many times can they do this and people still report on it or believe it?

Fool me 999,999 times, shame on you
Fool me a million times, shame on you

  21. CreativelySeeking on

Who knows what is going on. The Iranian government isn’t trustworthy, the USA government is now corrupt beyond all measure, and mainstream media, such as CBS is now simply republican messaging… So who knows what is happening.

  22. Special_Watch8725 on

Well, that’s a little better in that it says “White House Official says” directly in the headline. But next time, they should really lead with that part, so I know not to take the rest of the headline seriously.

  23. Important-Belt-2610 on

Is this credible? Why are there a million conflicting headlines.

  24. pillgrinder on

“White House official says”. Yeah. Fuck off. We don’t believe you.

  25. I believe absolutely nothing this White House says. This Administration has zero credibility no matter the statement or situation.

They have lied non stop since the beginning–and I mean from his first term. This is the result of being incapable of being credible, everything you say is automatically dismissed as a falsehood.

    Hope it was worth it.

  26. heresyforfunnprofit on

Since the White House is saying this, I will safely presume that Iran has not agreed to dispose of their uranium, in principle or otherwise.
