We are going to get unprecedented levels of “its only hot for a couple weeks” when anybody brings up aircon for the next 4 months

  2. I usually hate the heat but honestly I’ve been quite enjoying it this time around, makes a nice change from the literal 40 days and nights of downpour we had earlier in the year.

This heat wave should be a wake up call to anyone that votes reform.

They literally want to make climate change worse.

My weather app reckons 34 Celsius tomorrow. Ngl it’s hot enough today. I wonder if it could get even hotter in July/August, we are not even in summer yet… And there’s a likely super El Nino developing. Yikes.

  5. Temperature seem to get higher and higher every year now and no one seeks to care and no one wants to do anything other than bask in the intense heat burning themselves and discredit anyone who wants to even mention climate change.

I’m beyond fed up and at this point just want to let the deniers win and watch them suffer the consequences

….and the political party currently leading UK polls denies climate change and wants to repeal all green energy subsidies, start fracking and continuing drilling for oil in the north sea, as well as re-open coal mines.

    We’re doing this to ourselves.

I want to know why ice cream vans refuse to build a GPS app to locate the vans and buy a delicious ice cream in a heatwave. We have the technology.

But a couple of my mates said climate change is a load of bollocks because the ice age melted! Surely they aren’t less intelligent than scientists?

  9. For the inevitable climate change denying bots here’s some data

Here’s a down to earth explanation of some of the recent data about warming accelerating

The IPCC are very conservative imo but here’s a link to all their data

Everyone saying its normal at this time of year, climate change is a scam, remember the summer 76 etc. please bring some evidence

As this becomes more common water companies are going to have to take steps to reduce evaporation from reservoirs.

Bloke next door clearing his garden already had heat stroke clearing his garden. People really dont look after themselves from the sun.

I genuinely hate this weather. 17° – 20° is my sweet spot. I live in a flat and it is horrible in this weather. It retains heat for ages, so even night time is awful. Luckily I’ve got a good air con unit. Well worth the hundreds I spent on it.

Here’s a take on the climate debate you never read:

‘Man made climate change’, as one side of the argument, actually works in favour of the fossil fuels companies.

    Why?

Because it creates a duality. One with a flip side where it’s not proven and the assumption, therefore, is that burning fossil fuels for energy is all fine and dandy.

It’s really very easy to totally convince enough people of both sides that a true consensus is never reached. Subsequently, you will always see people effectively arguing on behalf of fossil fuel companies.

The reality is that you only need to use common sense to determine that burning fossil fuels is a stupid thing to do and that it’s makes far more sense to use clean energy.

Of course digging up stuff and setting fire to it is going to pollute the environment and make your living conditions worse. So of course it’s a far better idea to not do it.

You just don’t need man made climate change to reach that conclusion.

The real question is, do you want to live in a clean and healthy environment?

    Yes or No?

If you do, then you agree that replacing fossil fuels with cleaner alternatives is where society needs to go.

    It’s really not complicated.

And remember it’s only May. The hottest days of the year are yet to come

Can’t remember who first said it, but wouldn’t be nice if we precedented times for once instead of unprecedented

  16. A bit of sun comes out and all we hear is global warming this and global warming that. They weather has been terrible let’s just enjoy it

But farage and the AI data centre bros said it’s all just made up and we need to be less green .
