Good news. May the wasted and incompetent job network providers be looking over their shoulders.

It’s a rort. Another Johnny Howard special. The only winners are the people running these companies.

Ok can they please do oreclusion period laws they introduced in 1997 meaning anyone who receives a lump sum from a spinal injury under state workcover can be left w ith zero safety net if they run out of funds?
Treating half a lump sum including legal fees you didn’t receive as income as if I can pay myself $1500 a week out of it when in reality I can pay myself $630 without running out is a disgrace.

As someone who worked in the industry for nearly 5 years, thank fuck. The only winners are the CEO’s and board members.
The industry treats it workers like shit, its clients like shit, and the guidelines are contradictory in just about every important way.
There is a place for this kind of program, but the model we’ve been using is so terrible that everyone is rightfully disillusioned with it.

“One of the key findings of the 2023 inquiry was that the current system encourages job agencies to place people into any available job, rather than one suited to their skills or circumstances.”
I feel that as a arthitic, herniated spine, heart failure patient my disability job provider kept trying to push me into labouring and roofing jobs then got mad when I was like are you crazy I have no balance due to all my heart meds.

Good, my JNP turned me into a cripple in their illegally run work for the dole scheme. Fuck these cunts.

The in-short doesn’t say “We’re pissing it off and going back to the voluntary CES model” Just restructuring and changing payment models.
So in other words: Same shit, different smell.

Or we could just get rid of almost all employment services and have a UBI.
