Near Pavlohrad, we served fries to hundreds of children, but it became so much more than just a meal.
Because we had a few entertainers with us, the day quickly turned into a small celebration. There was laughter, playing and dancing. For a little while, there were no worries, no fear and no war around them, just children being children.
Kelly and Alexander were there too and made sure the children not only received fries, but also got some treats to take home.
For us, these are exactly the moments we do it for. A portion of fries may seem like something small, but in places like this it means so much more.
It brings people together, creates a smile and lets children simply be children again, even if only for a little while.
