  2. In before all the “but I thought Trudeau said no business case?????” comments, despite the fact that a deal to export LNG to Europe from BC of all places is proof in itself that there is indeed no business case for an east coast LNG facility.

    It’s just an LNG swap. Germany will still get their LNG from somewhere else.

    Fine exporting billions of $ of gas but throws a massive tantrum over Alberta tryna do the same with their oil pretty rude tbh

  5. This is a great announcement. However, shipping from the BC coast to Germany seems inefficient. I believe a pipeline to an export plant on Canada’s east coast would be a more efficient and environmentally sound long-term solution.

    Germany built their first LNG import terminal in 8 months. Let’s see how long it takes this govt to even get the permits approved.
