The Russian army shelled the Korabelnyi district of Kherson using a multiple launch rocket system. A children’s playground, where parents were resting with their children, was hit. One man was killed. Among the wounded is a woman with her two daughters.

This was reported on Facebook by the head of the city military administration, Yaroslav Shanko.

According to available information, the shelling was recorded around 17:30. Medics are providing assistance to a 36-year-old mother and her two children — girls aged 3 and 6. They were diagnosed with blast injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds.

According to the police, the killed person is the father of the injured girls. The woman and children were hospitalized.

Law enforcement officers are taking measures to document the war crime committed by the Russian Armed Forces, the statement says.

Later it became known about another injured person as a result of the Russian strike on the children’s playground. A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital with a concussion, a leg wound, and blast and closed traumatic brain injuries, the regional administration reported.

Earlier, the regional administration reported that Russian forces shelled central Kherson on 27 May. A wounded man sought medical help.

The day before, around 11:00, the occupying forces struck the Korabelnyi district of Kherson with artillery. Five people were injured.
