I don’t know what cringey comments he’s referring to but I guarantee they’re insignificant in comparison to giving a pedophile a 1 day prison sentence and cheating on your wife.

  2. Belichick12 on

    No! Admit nothing, deny everything.

You don’t see Ken Paxton apologizing for going soft on pedophiles. Don’t see Ken Paxton apologizing for cheating on his wife. Don’t see Ken Paxton apologizing for accepting bribes or committing securities fraud.

“In his remarks celebrating his victory Tuesday night, Paxton referred to Talarico by a string of mocking nicknames — “Tofu Talarico,” “Six gender Jimmy,” “James Tala-freako,” and “Low T Talarico” — while denouncing his positions related to gender-affirming care, immigration, energy and religion”

Is this truly all republicans are capable of? Derisive nicknames?

And why do they work so well with voters?

I just hope perfectionism amongst democrats doesnt hit talarico. Im already seeing it on TrackAIPAC going against him even though hes taken no AIPAC money.

Love talarico. Voting for him in November hopefully he has a solid campaign.

    >In 2020, after the [death of Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ahmaud-arbery-shooting-timeline-case-n1204306) in a racially motivated hate crime, [Talarico posted images on X of Black individuals](https://x.com/jamestalarico/status/1258788880955904002) and said Arbery was the latest American “killed by the virus of racism.” He [added](https://x.com/jamestalarico/status/1258788884185518082), “White skin gives me and every white American immunity from the virus. But we spread it wherever we go—through our words, our actions, and our systems. We don’t have to be showing symptoms — like a white hood or a Confederate flag — to be contagious.”

How is this “cringey?” It’s an accurate statement. Not speaking out against racism when it occurs perpetuates it.

Legacy media places such a double standard on Democrats. It’s trying so hard to find something to make Talarico look bad in some way, while completely ignoring that Paxton is so fucking corrupt that his own party impeached him.

Here we go with the media reports consistently “subtly” taking him down. The billionaires are scared and they are about to sick all their toys on JT.

  7. Lonely_Refuse4988 on

    Don’t ever apologize!!
Come on, James! These MAGA hate mongers are going to have a field day over any signs of backing down or appearing conciliatory!!

  8. guns_mahoney on

Republicans can defend pedophiles, release them into the public, even put them in the White House. They can start a war that gets us literally nothing, that only results in loss. They can defend ICE while ICE guns down innocent people in our streets.

But Democrats have to be perfect. They have to pass every conceivable purity test. Bullshit.

  9. AgendaPiece1999 on

The guy has nothing to apologize for. Nothing at all.

Ken Paxton, on the other hand, is a corrupt cheater who let a nonce walk free.

  10. r4inbowgravity on

Honestly if there is one thing to learn from Republicans, it is to never walk back your statements or apologize. Especially on stupid insignificant things like this. It NEVER has any positives come from it.

Don’t call yourself cringey or whatever, just defend yourself and move on to the real issues. People want to see politicians who back up what they say even if they don’t agree. And no one actually cares about apologies anyway, they are never accepted by those who are already against you, no matter how loudly they demand it.

  11. Why apologize at all. What he said was based. Don’t give ground to these idiots

  12. Once again, Democrats are expected to be virtuous and perfect while Republicans are literally giving free passes to paedophiles

  13. I’d vote for a literal sack of dog crap over Paxton if I lived in Texas. It probably had better ethics and morals.

  14. thistimeforgood on

As optimistic as I am about his candidacy, I keep remembering Trump’s homophobic “Kamala is for they/them” that worked so well it swung independents to him as well. Sadly, these kinds of attacks work on smooth brained conservatives

  15. Did he say he would bang his daughter if she wasn’t his daughter?

Did he willingly admit to sexually assaulting women at random?

Did he willingly admit he owned a teen pageant to be able to walk in on half dressed teens?

  16. ExtraProlificOne on

Talarico needs to go nuclear on Paxton. You wont win being above it all. Call this dude out and don’t afraid to highlight how what a POS he truly is.

  17. 1000AdamantAdams on

Saying that God is nonbinary is just pointing out that its stupid to assume that the creator of existence would fall within human standards of gender rules.

I wish he doubled down on that but I understand that he has to win over the religious folk.

  18. And once again, DNC diving right into the culture wars by going on the defense instead of platforming. Like clockwork.

  19. The fuck in the Corporate Government Controlled Media is this horse shit headline?

My God, the Epstein Class is getting desperate.

  20. Last-Refrigerator398 on

The Dems need to quit apologizing and start attacking. Seriously, forget about Transgender and focus on Pedophiles. How can any person vote for someone like Pedo Pax? Attack and do not let up.

  21. Don’t even bring this shit up. Stay on offense. Dictate the narrative. You do that, and you win James. You’re that good on-message. DO NOT LET KEN DICTATE THE NARRATIVE. YOU dictate the narrative.

  22. The media is doing it again, equivocating anything slightly “controversial” that Democrat candidates say, while barely blinking at the absolute dog shit coming out of Republicans.

  23. trampolinebears on

    Talarico yesterday:

    > *I’ve been eating barbecue since before Ken Paxton’s first indictment.*

  24. JerryDipotosBurner on

We’re literally witnessing an election where one guy is “vegan” and that’s apparently disqualifying, while the other candidate is corrupt beyond all imagination, and the evidence of that corruption is all public record and bipartisan.

And we’re expected to believe these things are equal attacks against an opponent.

I’m just in disbelief of the timeline I live in.

  25. bigfatgeekboy on

Sounds like yet another case of the media harping incessantly on a non- issue for the D candidate, while completely ignoring the glaring awfulness of the R candidate.
