  1. Who’s David Taylor? David is the Labour MP for Hemel Hempstead.

David is also a member/supporter of the undemocratic and secretive lobby organisation Labour Friends of Israel.

David has accepted the following donations and perks:

£10,000 from the Trevor Chinn funded/Morgan McSweeney run consortium Labour Together.

    >In November 2024 he was awarded the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honour for service to the state of Israel.[1]

£5,794 in flights and accommodation from the All Party Parliamentary Group for a trip to Japan. ✈️ 🇯🇵

£578.26 from the Coalition for Global Prosperity.

David backed the proscription of Palestine Action.

David voted against an International Development Committee report critical of Israel’s conduct in the occupied Palestinian territories.

David recently tweeted his support for Gary Lubner saying that he’s a “fantastic person.”

Who is David Taylor? He is effectively a representative of Israel operating in plain sight in the UK Parliament.

Edit: 7% of comment views are from israel, bit weird for a UK subbreddit?

  2. Who is this person and why should I be outraged about this ?

I’ve literally never heard of this person in my life

You can’t block one group and then not another…two tier politics at its worst.

  4. Goosepond01 on

I hate him and really dislike a lot of his positions but I’m so fed up of people not caring about freedom of speech.

we trade with slavers, people who view women as second class people, terrorists but god forbid Kanye West or Hasan comes to the UK

  5. WastedYouth39 on

Isn’t this the American Gucci loving, private plane flying, multi million dollar home owning.. socialist?

Ooo and he electro shocks his dog

  6. He supports terrorists, supporting terrorist attacks and using his stream to let literal people-killing pirates do lip service.

If he was just a communist, I’d be fine with it, (though I’m not sure a commie wears designer clothes, drives porches and lives in L.A penthouses as a matter of principle)

but I’d be unhappy with any terrorist supporter otherwise ofcourse

He hates the UK, what’s he wanting to do over here, sell his new clothing line?

  9. Every time I see the various claims against Piker, then drill down into them, they are usually obvious bullshit spun out by rival streamer communities who have personal beefs against him.

The article even repeats uncritically an accusation that he’s antisemitic.

I really don’t like him at all. I think he’s an obnoxious, smug type of “commentator” with no unique knowledge or experience, sitting at the absolute worst point of maximum confidence with unremarkable competence.

All of that said, it would be completely wrong to revoke his visa on the basis outlined by this Labour MP. He’s a bit whacky and I disagree with a lot of his stuff, but he’s not an extremist and he’s not dangerous. The things he says are pretty commonplace views, both in the US and here, whether you like them or not. The worst quotes that could be found by the journalist writing this article are quite clearly, even just in text form, a sort of edgy point-making, often targeted towards the nation state of Israel.

I find it quite disturbing that an MP would call for someone to be banned from the country on such a fragile basis. I’m not usually the sort to moan about free speech, but I think this MP really needs to get a grip. If his suggestion is followed, then I will find that extremely concerning. If what he’s saying doesn’t fit existing laws relating to extremism and terrorist groups, then why is a government MP getting involved? What precedent would that set? The party in power just gets to decide what political opinions are banned? This is Reform level understanding of civil and political rights, and governance.

  11. Nah, the main reason we tend to block people from entering the country on hate speech grounds is because of the Police resources it would take to seperate the inevitable protesters from the speaker.

I’m thinking of the Phelps’ from a few years back and a few other unsavoury people.

I really don’t think Piker will generate that much of a crowd, so it seems unfair to revoke his visa just because you don’t like what he has to say. If that’s the case, have a debate with him and show him up.

  12. If they ban him then they need to ban any that support Israels crimes and ban half the middle east and its leaders.

Hell lets ban everyone just to be safe and cover all angles so Trump and his Israeli handlers/blsckmailers don’t get to upset.

  13. they blocked right wing speakers for extreme views – he has hosted terrorists and endorsed their actions on his stream, glorified the manifesto of an attacker in america that killed multiple people, openly blames everything on the jews (under guise of zionists) and encourages stealing en mass from large companies… i think it’s only fair they block him too.

  14. Whether you agree with his views or not, the home office has set a precedent of removing the visas of people who incite and spread hatred. His visa should be revoked following those rules.

  15. Absolutely should be but two-tier Keir is extremely weak and will let radicals like this fuckwit in

  16. If we’re revoking people’s ability to attend right wing rallies, then a self-admitted communist and western subversive, backed by a Chinese state propagandist and billionaire, then precedent has been set, revoke his visa.

  17. FelisCantabrigiensis on

As long as we revoke visas or deny ETAs to similarly hateful right-wing people from the USA.

  18. Britain has a long history of tolerating gobshites, part of this tolerance is to understand then constructively counter.

If you selectively ban gobshitery then you’re interfering in a very well balanced social mechanism. You also cannot discuss gobshitery to children who are consuming it on the pooptube.

‘Let the c**t talk, and be known that he is c**t’. Shakespearean

  19. This sub pretending they weren’t cheering on other people being banned even a European politician

  20. FistedBone9858 on

I don’t like him, or any of these people who sit behind screens all day earning millions and telling others how to think xD

to be incredibly clear, I think Nick Shirley being banned from entry is valid. we don’t need hate here. and equally, the same guy who has lauded Lebanese terrorism and said some insanely hateful things.. backed people who wish PTSD on soldiers etc etc.. he should equally not be allowed entry.

Both hate. they just hate different sides. and that is the issue, depending on which camp you appear in, you are willing to give them a pass, look in this thread, filled with people on one or the other side trying to justify these peoples vitriol…

why would anyone care what some millionaire streamer thinks about anything? they do not live in the same world as normal people.

  21. Every-Dragonfly2393 on

In the states they all call him a ‘Commie’ cause you know if you prescribe to any ideologies that value community before capital then you are obviously a fascist Stalinist.

Whereas if you support racist colonist ideologies you are obviously just a supporter of equality and human rights.

  22. Just the dumbest of all possible worlds. So put your mortgage on Mahmood doing it.

  23. hereforcontroversy on

I don’t like this guy, he definitely uses a shock collar on his dog.

However he is nowhere near the level of “extreme” that should ever qualify for being barred from the UK.

  24. Next_Notice6841 on

Even putting aside the free speech issues, revoking his visa would only make him more popular in both countries.

  25. Just mention shoe0nhead at the terminal and he’ll crash out and leave. 😂

  26. Lansdowngrove on

I would say here before the parasocial streamer armies arrive but it seems I’m already too late for that. Enjoy everyone!
