No Winners Seen in Trump’s ‘Hugely Destructive’ Energy Tariffs. Charging 25% levies on oil and gas from the US’s top two trading partners would spike gasoline prices in the Midwest, raise electricity costs along both US coasts and hammer profitability for America’s refiners, among other effects.

Maybe the end of it will be lower margins and closings. Damn that would actually be a good ending

  2. If you asked yourself, what’s the best way to start a recession?

Then these moves make much more sense.

  3. Trump is like a child playing with matches in a petroleum refinery. And not a particularly bright child.

I’m all in favor of tariffs on oil and gas it’s about time. We are burning up our planet. Making it more expensive to do so is a huge win.

If it’s going to be so terrible and you are so positive about it then why are you not going to leave? Biden is an idiot but I never actively cheered for him to fail like you people do

  6.  The spike would be VASTLY higher with possible shortages and electricity blackouts as well, because Canada would not respond just respond  to tarriffs against American products, but Premiers have already said we’d just straight up cut America off from energy exports completely. So no oil, gas, electricity being sold to the US at all. Enjoy massive shortages.

  7. All the shitfucks in my midwestern neighborhood with giant trucks and Trump flags are gonna get exactly what they wanted.

  8. And it’ll be everyone’s fault except Trump and the GOPs. Isn’t that lovely? I hope they don’t punish the rest of us for their mistakes too harshly.

  9. Weird. It’s like Putin’s little puppet’s orders for what to do in the US are designed specifically to make things worse in the US. Huh.

This is what Americans voted for. They saw the same news I did, let’s GO! Make the US treasury flush with cash, orange lord!!
