Hmm. The article says Texas had 6.5 GW of utility-scale battery capacity as of the end of 2024, yet ERCOT claimed 9.5GW of utility-scale battery capacity in 2024.
Anyway, Texas tends to dominate many absolute-value rankings because its grid is so much bigger. Texas produces as much electricity as the #2 and #3 states combined.
