‘Make them pay’: Canada puts Trump’s ‘first friend’ Elon Musk’s Tesla in the crosshairs of tariff war. Liberal Party leader has proposed a bold countermeasure: slapping 100% tariffs on select American goods, including Teslas, in direct response to Trump’s tariffs on Canada and Mexico.

I live in Vancouver. Arguably one of the largest, per capita, cities for Tesla purchases. They are everywhere. It’s hilarious how many of them now have bumper stickers that say:

“I bought my Tesla before Elon became an asshole.”

Just for context, this is the former finance minister who’s currently contending for leadership of the liberal party (and is currently looking second) not the position of the current liberal government.

So the headline is a bit misleading when it says “liberal party leader” as it sounds like this is Canada’s position while it is more reflective of campaign rethoric.

Fuck the fascist pig.

Ban them outright.

Close the dealerships and rip up the charging stations.

Oh and all the oil we send to the US? Ya I guess we can just make that into gas for all the cars we make here… that we also send to the US.
