
I took a look at this great site for electricity in Australia this morning:
A rough 'hold the slide rule up' measurement based on the last 24hrs power draw would suggest increasing wind generation by 4x and solar by 2x, plus a whole bunch of batteries to smooth out peaks, would be enough to kick out the rest of the dirty black/brown coal.
Am I being too simplistic?

Though I think more solar growth than that. Remember that demand to increase with electrification too.
