He’s not spending money on coal investments at least. He is just allowing leases on federal land to not be shut down and keeping plants, that were set to be shut down, operational. Definitely an L for the environment, but at least its not dumping money into new coal plants.

Maybe next we can invest in bringing back the whale bone corset and buggy whip industries.

While I dont wanna see job lost or access to cheap energy, I pretty much agree just let it drop. Natural selection is pretty much saying coal isnt needed anymore as a main source of power and that it needs to just be burnt as needed/supplies are around – not adding new mins or plants.
