Why would Trump’s EPA shut down the successful Energy Star program? The uncontroversial, decades-old bipartisan program costs almost nothing to operate while saving consumers more than $34 billion per year. Why in the world is this happening? There is no constituency for such a move.

Because destroying things indiscriminately is much easier than thinking about what you’re doing

The wokeness started a long time ago and must be squelched wherever you see it. All that lib stuff from the Progressive Era–rural electricity, mail, municipal water and sewer systems, etc.–must be eliminated!

  3. Because saving energy is “woke” in the brain dead parlance of the modern American conservative.

The entire ideology is bankrupt and will need to be torn down and rebuilt before America can ever be a serious world power again.

Because they don’t take orders from their ‘constituents’; they take orders from people who own companies that don’t like pesky things like ‘consumer protection’ and ‘transparency’.

There isn’t a sliver of doubt in my mind that this is entirely about low flow water fixtures. Trump has given weird rants about toilets and showers. He’s a building developer in NYC so he’s most likely had to deal with these requirements.

Because he irrationally hates anything green. Remember, this guy thinks “the noise from the windmills causes cancer.”
